TechConnection is an annual NSCC event that connects NSCC Truro Campus students in the IT/Creative Industries programs to potential employers and industry partners. 

Our 2021 TechConnection event is being hosted virtually, and you’re invited to join the free keynote speaker session! This past year we have all become more experienced and engaged with technology – regardless of industry or profession- technology impacts us all. We are excited to extend this unique opportunity to our NSCC community.

What: A talk about Immersive Technologies (AR/VR) and the predicted impact it will have on industry, including a live Q&A session
Who: David Colter, CEO of Immersive Cinema Inc.

About David Colter – David has more than 30 years of experience across a range of technology roles, encompassing movie studios, chip development, consumer electronics, telecommunications, technology investment and R&D labs. David has served as VP Technology for Warner Bros., Director of Broadband Research at Vulcan, CTO for General Displays and Technologies, and multiple responsibilities at AMD, Nortel and Bell-Northern Research. More recently David was Founder and CTO of VRCinematic in Seattle, and VP Architecture at Charter. Currently, David is CEO of Immersive Cinema Inc. and an adjunct professor at Saint Mary’s University. David has been awarded multiple patents for interactive video solutions, and he holds a BSc from Dalhousie University and a MSc degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Toronto.
