Business Analyst
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gather and document requirements from business users to develop, test and implement automated reporting solutions
TOOLS USED:
- Power BI / Power Query / Excel
- Ability to ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) from multiple data sources , load into a well-designed analytic data model and present the data in a simple comprehensive manner that helps business users gain insight into existing processes and make business decisions.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Intermediate or better proficiency in DAX
- Working knowledge of Power Query
- Experience building highly reusable ETL Pipelines using Power BI Dataflows
- Experience building visualizations in Power BI Desktop
- Solid understanding of dimensional modeling concepts
- Experience delivering effective technical and user documentation for BI solutions
- Strong Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills
- Professional communications skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and proven organization abilities
- Advanced Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Power Pivot etc.)
- 3-5 years of experience
SKILLS CONSIDERED ASSETS:
- Extensive knowledge of IT industry; vendors, distributors, etc.
- Experience with ERP systems and related data – JDE (JD Edwards) ideally
- Exposure to Microsoft CRM Dynamics
- Previous Business Analyst experience
