Project Manager III – Enterprise Information Technology (Permanent) (APC) (2 Positions)

Under the direction of the Director, Project Management Office (PMO), the Project Manager III, is a resident specialist in project planning and delivery within the PMO. This position possesses expert knowledge of business, project management and change management processes and methodologies for the successful implementation and support of Information Technology (IT) projects at the University. The Project Manager III is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides single point of contact for those projects sponsors and sitting committees. The Project Manager III, as a member of the PMO, is also involved in assisting various groups across campus select applications to help facilitate their business operations. This position involves researching into available tools, the RFP process and scoring vendor responses to ultimately select and purchase an application or system. The Project Manager III provides mentoring and support to projects across the University, helping community members adopt the project methodologies and applications supported within the institution.

Group affiliation for this position is with the Administrative, Professional & Confidential (APC) Group. The position is evaluated at a Group 7 (salary range $73,463 – 94,675). Salary scale can be viewed here.

Qualifications

To be the successful Project Manager III you will possess an Undergraduate Degree in IT or Business/Commerce, and seven (7) years of directly related work experience with five (5) years of project management experience, along with a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. Additional skills include experience managing operational and project budgets, strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, expert knowledge of project management methodologies, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work evenings and weekends, as required.
