QA Analyst

What is the opportunity?

The CFG team within RBC Capital Markets Technology is looking for a QA Analyst with a proven and consistent track record of successful delivery.

What will you do?

  • Review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide feedback
  • Design detailed comprehensive test cases for functional, performance and compatibility with other systems.
  • Execute test cases for functional, regression and performance testing.
  • Participate in streamlining QA testing such as automation.
  • Document processes and other quality assurance activities.
  • Work with CM businesses and Operations, BA and DEV team to investigate issues.
  • Work with IT architects/developers to understand processes and functional requirements.
  • Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders across Capital Markets and other
  • Business Units and with all partners in other IT groups within the Bank.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with RBC values and culture, setting an example for peers and direct reports.

Must-Have:

  • Ideally 5+ years of relevant experience as a QA analyst, with in-depth knowledge of testing process.
  • Knowledge of tools, QA applications, database and methodologies of QA UNIX working knowledge.
  • Proficient with SQL
  • Broad understanding of Capital Markets.
  • Strong analytical skills for data analysis, problem solving and attention to details.
  • Excellent communication
  • A team player

Nice to have:

  • Experience with financial message formats – FpML.
  • Apex or similar trading software
  • Broad understanding of Capital Markets.
