Software Development work related to the ANZAC In Service Support Project. Software Development includes both new development and maintenance of existing software.

Tasks include:

• Requirements Analysis
• Detailed design
• Software development in both Java and C++
• Unit testing and documentation
• Integration and deployment
• Problem solving
• Working in an Agile team environment.

Clearance required for role: Nato Secret

Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • 3 + years work experience with Java development
  • Proficient in Java and C++.

Desired skills, qualifications and experience

  • Knowledge of Agile software development process
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and design patterns
  • Experience with development tools such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, JUnit, Subversion (SVN)
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Well organized, capable of planning, scheduling and prioritizing work
  • Aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
  • Active Security Clearance (NATO Secret) considered an asset for this role.
