What You’ll Do

The Account Director is responsible for managing the customer relationship and provides strategic direction and leadership across a collection of high-profile clients. They are the main point of contact for the client acting as their voice within the agency, ensuring their needs are met and effective solutions are provided. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Overseeing and managing large-scale website build’s and/or other digital solutions from inception to launch, collaborating with team members across all VERB departments
  • Day-to-day management of client business through strategic planning and daily execution of project tasks
  • Working closely with clients, understanding their needs and expectations, planning, forecasting, and reporting on projects
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects, involving cross-functional teams, within budget, schedule and resource constraints
  • Drive projects through entire campaign life-cycle, from inception to post-launch analysis and optimization
  • Managing project outcomes against business goals and objectives
  • Effective management of budgets and resources, following predetermined budgets for projects and consistently assess departmental resources to ensure staffing requirements are met
  • Inspire, coach, motivate, and energize project team
  • Responsible for the overall output of project working team, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within budget, and of the utmost quality
  • Effectively manage and build strong relationships with senior clients and have the ability to navigate up the client organization
  • Provide leadership/mentorship to Account Managers and Account Coordinators, developing their skills and identifying areas for growth


What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in marketing/ advertising industry or account management role
  • Post-secondary education with a focus on advertising, marketing, communications, or business
  • Experience in a client services organization, preferably digital marketing (including web, mobile, video, brand and digital consulting projects)
  • Highly organized and ability to function in a fast-paced business environment
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, web development technologies and design lifecycle
  • Working understanding of SEO, SEM, social, and traditional media
  • Experienced in managing multiple simultaneous projects, involving cross-functional teams, within budget, schedule and resource constraints
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
  • Highly meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to create and present creative ideas and solutions to both clients and internal management
  • Ability to travel periodically for client meetings
