Applications for the Second Get into IT Cohort Open February 15th!

We are incredibly excited to announce that the second cohort for the Get into IT Program will begin on March 28th, 2022! We will be accepting applications on February 15th, 2022 for learners who are interested in pursuing an entry-level career as an IT Support Specialist or as a Cybersecurity Analyst.

Designed to support those who have traditionally faced barriers entering Nova Scotia’s tech sector, Get Into IT is a no cost program for training and upskilling Indigenous Persons, Black Nova Scotians, persons of African Descent, racially visible individuals, persons with disabilities, immigrants, and women. Participants must be 18+, unemployed or underemployed*, have a high school diploma, GED certificate or a referral from a community organization, be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and are a Nova Scotia resident.

Professional development, industry networking opportunities, and in-course support will also be offered as part of this 25-week technical skills training program. A major objective is to ensure that by the end of this course, graduates find meaningful job opportunities that will allow them to become active members of the province’s tech sector, and contribute to a diverse and innovative industry.

Interested in learning more about the program? Join us at one of our information sessions starting February 9th at 10:00am AT! Everyone is invited to attend.
