Welcome to Digital Nova Scotia, Callum! – Digital Nova Scotia – Leading Digital Industry
Welcome to Digital Nova Scotia, Callum!

We are thrilled to welcome Callum Clague, our new Communications Coordinator to the Digital Nova Scotia team! Callum is a second-year Marketing student at Dalhousie University joining us for the winter term.

Tell us about yourself!

I am in my second year at Dalhousie working towards a Commerce degree majoring in marketing. I grew up in Calgary, Alberta. In the past I have worked as a dishwasher, a cook, a baker and I did marketing for a few start-up companies. Besides that, I like to spend my free time working on my creative projects.

Can you tell us something about yourself that isn’t in your bio?

I love to do film photography, graphic designs and make music.

What do you love most about your program at university?

My favourite thing about my program is the co-op, because I’m gaining real hands on experience with marketing and I’ve been able to focus on the things that got me interested in marketing. Also, Digital Nova Scotia has definitely been my favourite workplace.

The tech sector in Nova Scotia is thriving, what are you most looking forward to about working in this industry?

I love working with people who are passionate about what they do, and the tech sector does not have a shortage of passionate people. I can’t wait to network and hear people talk about what they love doing.

What do you hope to accomplish while you’re with us?

To gain experience networking and creating marketing materials in a professional setting.

What’s something you’re really interested in that might surprise us?

I’ve started a small collective so that I could work with my friends across Canada on creative projects and showcase their passions.

If you were given a plane ticket to anywhere in the world, where would you want it to be?

I’ve always wanted to go to the United Kingdom and see where my family came from.
