Full-Time or Part-Time Employment
Looking to fill some junior positions? Our program participants and graduates can bring different backgrounds and perspectives that lead to a variety of ideas, knowledge, and ways of doing things. Digital Nova Scotia can help introduce you to potential future employees and promote your opportunities to our program participants. There are lots of ways to get involved, and you can connect with a member of our team anytime to get started.
P.S. Your company could be eligible to receive funding support from the START Program, which is a hiring incentive that helps connect employers with unemployed Nova Scotians who can fill their job vacancies.
Internship/Apprenticeship
Some of our participants are open to an internship opportunity. This workplace experience, whether it be a short or long-term opportunity, can provide significant value to the individual during this time. Having the opportunity to gain practical skills while embedded with your organization will lead to valuable hands-on experience and a greater knowledge of the sector.
Mentorship
If you are looking for a way to give back to your community and share your expertise, we welcome you to become a mentor to our Get Into IT participants. As a mentor, you will be able to share information about your own career path, as well as provide guidance, insights, motivation, and role-modeling to Get Into IT program participants.
Networking
We are always looking for ways to support our Get Into IT participants with industry networking opportunities and interact/engage with people currently working in tech. If you are looking to support networking events, speak on industry panels or contribute to Career Advice Q&A sessions, let’s talk!
