Hello Halifax,

Please see below a cover letter, which I think will give you insight into some of my process and abilities as a professional and career background, as well as some of my recent career history.  I am looking for a role which will provide me with challenging, rewarding work in an organization where I feel I can make an impact for my customers, my team, and my company.

I have an extensive business sales and development background, which began several years ago at Dell not knowing much about the IT industry having started off my work experience in the world of print and digital marketing.  However, I very quickly developed a passion for IT and became a true believer in its power as a business driver.

Throughout my time at Dell I was tapped on the shoulder to fill several progressive roles, predominantly on the core account management team and achieved great success.   I actively became involved in several groups including a Channel Champions development team, internal training programs, a mentor, and a team lead.  Assisting with the development of best practices, special programs and engagement to improve various aspects of the sales and operational sides of Dell Canada in the mid-market and enterprises spaces.

Additionally, during that time I constantly sought out further training opportunities to receive more technical instruction, as I understood that a deeper knowledge of technologies can create desirable business outcomes for my customers.   I have achieved various technical certifications for both VMWare and networking during my time with Dell and Zones, in additional to informal classroom and personal development with subject matter experts to improve my knowledge base.

I worked across all Dell business segments, end point, infrastructure/networking, services and software, including migrations and cloud readiness.  I guided customers on simple to very complex projects and saw them executed from conception or discovery right through to implementation and post sales.  I was very successful in uncovering new opportunities within existing accounts, prospecting new ones, and introducing and integrating with channel partners to exceed customer expectations consistently.

I ensure I fully understand my customers organization and business, how they operate, their objectives and how to align the right solutions and processes to see those goals executed successfully. I foster strong, trusted relationships from C-level, down to the project implementation team providing consistent communication throughout the process to ensure success.

In the fall of 2017, I relocated to Halifax from Toronto with my better half with the desire to build a home and raise a family.  Though the move East has been fulfilling on a personal level I have yet to find a role that inspires me here on the East coast.

I invest a lot into my career development by consistently adding new skills and certifications to my repertoire as I learn new areas of technology and sales. I am looking for a role which enables me to continue my development and would combine passions for business, technology and innovation for which I have grown such a distinct curiosity and passion.
